Who We Are

The Swansea Rainbow Counselling Centre offers a critical service, for those that cannot afford private access to counselling. The Centre specialise many therapeutic areas including systemic family counselling.  This can be delivered face to face or, if suitable, via zoom or telephone counselling sessions.

The Swansea Rainbow Counselling Centre is a project manged by the LGBT+ Cymru Helpline (Registered Charity 1198081), which has opened its doors to support everyone in need to become inclusive for all rather than exclusive.

The Centre doesn’t just support people who are experiencing difficult times, it is also committed to help develop the next generation of therapists with strong links to the University of South Wales.

Offering placements to master’s students to practice their advanced therapy skills in a number of disciplines namely, cognitive behavioural therapy; integrative psychotherapy; creative counselling and art psycho-therapy. By providing these placements it keeps costs low and affordable or free of charge if you qualify, while ensuring a high standard of therapeutic service.

Our therapists are members of ethical frameworks which pertain to their therapeutic approach, which are: BACP, BABCP, AFT, BPS and the UKCP.

We are passionate about making a positive difference in people’s mental health and as a Charity it relies on peoples acts of kindness, if you can afford to donate please click here – you can and will make a difference too.
